Scott Carter
Chief Executive Officer
Scott Carter is Chief Executive Officer of Goldline International, overseeing daily operations of the company with a particular focus on Marketing, Information Technology, Compliance, and Human Resources. Mr. Carter is heard daily as host of Goldline's American Advisor Precious Metals Market Update and every Fridayon Goldline's American Advisor: Week in Review. Theseare informational audio programs that discuss the outlook for precious metals in view of current economic and political trends.
Mr. Carter joined Goldline International in 2009 as an Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Team. Mr. Carter has over 25 years of management experience within the financial services sector and has served on multiple insurance company boards within the property and casualty industry. Prior to joining Goldline, Mr. Carter was the President of Unitrin Direct Insurance, a property and casualty insurance company, from 2002 to 2008. In addition, Mr. Carter was president of American Horizon Insurance Company from 1999 to 2001. Also, Mr. Carter served with Allstate Insurance Company from 1985 to 1998 in various executive management positions.
Mr. Carter is a former Regent for Trinity International University and is a former board member of the Woodrow Wilson Council in Washington, DC. Mr. Carter has served on many civic boards within the Chicago area. Mr. Carter is currently a member of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and The National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL).
Mr. Carter earned his undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University and a Masters of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School. Mr. Carter has three children and currently resides in Santa Monica, CA.
Robert J. Fazio
President
Robert Fazio has traded precious metals professionally since 1986. He worked with Deak International Goldline Limited/Deak International Goldline (US) Ltd. from 1986-1991 prior to A-Mark's purchase of Deak International Goldline, (US) Ltd. He became Vice President at Goldline International, Inc. in 1992.
Mr. Fazio graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1986 with a major in Communication Arts. He is a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA).
Joseph P. Ozaki
Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer
Joe Ozaki leads and oversees all of Goldline’s operations, administration, accounting, finance, banking, trading and risk control efforts.
In April 1985, Mr. Ozaki joined the A-Mark group, which later purchased Goldline in 1991. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate, financial and metals sectors holding various management positions including Director of Operations, Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Ozaki has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the California State University at Long Beach. He previously attended the University of California at Los Angeles majoring in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Computer Science. He passed the CPA exam in California in 1980.
Brian Crumbaker
Executive Vice President
Brian Crumbaker leads and oversees all of Goldline’s branding, marketing, advertising and PR efforts as well as the company’s Information Technology, Human Resources, and Compliance teams.
Mr. Crumbaker joins Goldline after 20 years in the Property & Casualty insurance industry. He held senior executive positions at Travelers, Unitrin Direct and Reliance Personal Insurance and began his career at Progressive Insurance. Most recently he was the senior executive responsible for the affinity and direct-to-consumer businesses at Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT.
Mr. Crumbaker has an MBA from the University of Southern California, a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont. He is a member of the Ohio Bar.
Joel Gabrelow
Vice President Numismatics
Joel Gabrelow has been a life member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) since 1982. He joined Goldline as its Director of Numismatics in May 2008.
From 1976-1981, Mr. Gabrelow was the owner of a successful Los Angeles-based rare coin and precious metal business. From 1982 to 1984, he was Vice President in the Numismatic Lending Department at West Coast Bank, the first bank in the country to make collateral loans on rare coins. From 1984-1986, Mr. Gabrelow was Senior Vice President of Valley State Bank Collateral Loan Division. From 1986-1990, he was founding partner of a successful Los Angeles-based rare coin and precious metals company. From 1990-2007, Mr. Gabrelow was the CEO of a Ventura County based Electronics Contract Manufacturing company.
Mr. Gabrelow attended the University of California at Los Angeles from 1973-1977, where he majored in Economics.
Carol Taylor
Vice President Compliance
Carol Taylor has been active in a number of community organizations including serving nine years on the Board of Directors (Past Chair) of the Economic Development Corporation of Oxnard. Ms. Taylor also served on the Ventura County Civic Alliance and co-chaired the organization's Workforce Education Committee.
From 1996 until 2008, Ms. Taylor was the President and CFO of a contract manufacturing company supplying custom-designed products to high-tech companies. From 1992 to 1996, she served as a senior executive of a national organization providing securities arbitration consulting services to individual investors. In 1986, Ms. Taylor founded and managed, until its sale in 1992, a gourmet gift company with significant export business. From 1978 to 1986, Ms. Taylor served as CFO of an investment management firm.
Ms. Taylor attended California State University at Northridge (1971 -1975) majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
Luis Beeli
Vice President Account Executive Recruitment & Support
Luis Beeli serves as Goldline International, Inc.'s Vice President Account Executive Recruitment and Support. Before joining Goldline, Mr. Beeli had extensive sales experience working with such companies as MicroStrategy and Alta Vista.
Mr. Beeli graduated with honors from California State University, Northridge with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. While attending Cal State, Northridge, he was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, Honors CO-OP and a three-time recipient of the HMSC High Performance Team Award.
Keyth Pengal
Vice President Operations
Keyth Pengal joined Goldline in 2005 as Director of Operations after serving as the Operations Manager for TimeWarner's Warner-Elecktra-Atlantic Division where he directed operations for a 200+ employee facility.
Mr. Pengal obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He attended Roosevelt University on an Academic Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude.
Stuart Hong
Vice President Controller
Stuart Hong joined Goldline in 2006 after serving in senior financial management positions with several companies in the merchandising industry. In addition, from 1995-1999, Mr. Hong was a partner in a high-profile personal training facility in Los Angeles. From 1979-1989, he worked as a Senior Audit Manager for KPMG.
Mr. Hong graduated with high honors from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Management. He is a licensed CPA in the states of California and Hawaii.
Stanley Huang
Vice President Strategic Planning
Stanley Huang leads and oversees all of Goldline’s strategic planning and enterprise decision analysis.
Mr. Huang joined Goldline after 12 years specializing in Mergers & Acquisition and corporate transactions within the financial services industry. Over his career he has analyzed and lead over 300 transactions in various industries totaling over $2 billion in transaction value. He held senior positions at Duff & Phelps and McGladrey. Most recently he was a director in the Transaction Advisory group at Duff & Phelps in Los Angeles, CA.
Stanley Huang is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School).
Lisa Weedman
Director of Business Affairs
Lisa Weedman joined Goldline International, Inc. in 1996. Ms. Weedman served as Client Services Manager and Director of Administration before being promoted to Director of Business Affairs in 2006. Her duties include client relations and telemarketing compliance.
Ms. Weedman received her Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University where she majored in Economics. She has also had extensive coursework and experience in the areas of human resources, sales and employee benefits.
Joseph C. Battaglia
Contributor, The American Advisor Radio Program
Joe Battaglia joined Goldline in February 1994 and served as host of The American Advisor radio program until April 27, 2010.
Mr. Battaglia received his B.A. at the University of Southern California, an LLB from Loyola Law School and practiced law from 1966 to 1979. He received the Coin Dealer "Man of the Year Award" in 1988.
