America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins
Goldline International has acquired a limited quantity of "America the Beautiful" 5 ounce silver coins which are available to purchase in tubes of 10 coins and while supplies last.
DESIGN OF AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL SILVER QUARTER
Each coin is three inches in diameter. The obverse of the coins duplicates their smaller twin - the U.S. quarter - even down to its 25 cent face value, though these silver coins are nearly double the size and five times the silver content of the silver American Eagle.
The America the Beautiful silver coins offered by Goldline feature five designs that are new for 2011: The Gettysburg National Military Park (PA), Glacier National Park (MT), Olympic National Park (WA), Vicksburg National Military Park (MS), and Chickasaw National Recreational Area (OK).
The 2011 Chickasaw Silver Coin will be the last 2011 release of the U.S. Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters Program. This specific strike honors Chickasaw National Recreation Area which is located in the state of Oklahoma. The coin's reverse showcases the Lincoln Bridge, a favorite scenic spot of Chickasaw which is built out of limestone and was dedicated on the centennial of the birth of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, thus giving it its name.
The Vicksburg National Military Park quarter is the ninth in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. It honors Vicksburg National Military Park, which was established by the War Department on February 21, 1899 to "commemorate the siege and defense of Vicksburg." The reverse of the Vicksburg coin was designed by AIP Master Designer Thomas Cleveland and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Joseph Menna to depict the American Civil War era gunboat USS Cairo steaming down the Yazoo River. The gunboat was partially restored and is on display at the Vicksburg Military Park.
The Olympic National Park (WA) coin is the eight overall in the American the Beautiful Quarters Program. From glistening tidepools to glacier-capped peaks, Olympic National Park protects more than 70 miles of Pacific Ocean beaches and, less than 33 miles away, the glacier-capped 7,980-foot summit of Mount Olympus that is the heart of the Olympic range.
The America the Beautiful: Glacier National Park (MT) coin is the seventh in the America the Beautiful series. The reverse captures the northeast slope of Mount Reynolds with a mountain goat clambering over the park's rocky high country slopes.
The Gettysburg National Military Park (PA) coin is the sixth in the America the Beautiful series. The reverse depicts the 72nd Pennsylvania Infantry Monument which is located on the battle line of the Union Army at Cemetery Ridge, Pennsylvania.
These silver coins, delivered in sealed tubes to preserve their brilliant uncirculated condition, have their weight, content, and purity guaranteed by the U.S. government. While these coins are categorized as bullion by the U.S. Mint, they carry Goldline's semi-numismatic spread.
