Silver bullion rounds are minted by private mints or refineries. They are sold generally in 1-ounce sizes and can be minted in varying degrees of fineness, the most common being 99.9% silver purity. Rounds are not legal tender value. Partly for this reason, they typically sell for lower premiums than silver bullion coins issued by governments.
