$10 US Gold Commemorative

Product Info

The 1984 Olympics Commemorative $10 gold coin was the only gold coin minted by the U.S. Mint to commemorate the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. This Olympic Commemorative gold coin marked the first time in over 50 years that the Mint produced a $10 gold coin.

The weight, size, and fineness are identical to the Mint's older $10 gold coin which was issued in 1933. The Olympic Commemorative $10 gold coin was struck at four different U.S. Mint facilities: Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and West Point. This coin is also the first to bear the "W" mint mark for West Point. The West Point mint was also the only mint to strike an uncirculated version of this coin.
