Goldline Honors First Special Service Force Veterans

Los Angeles – Goldline joins millions of Americans and Canadians in humble recognition of the First Special Service Force (FSSF) for their unparalleled bravery and sacrifice during World War II. The FSSF, also known as “The Devil’s Brigade,” was presented today with the Congressional Gold Medal, one of our country’s highest civilian honors.

In its own effort to recognize the accomplishments of these incredible service-members, Goldline has provided each recipient with a ¾ ounce silver proof, First Special Service Force Silver Coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. There are only 2,000 of these beautiful limited production coins available in the United States.

The First Special Service Force, brought together in 1942 as World War II raged, was an elite group of infantry composed of both Americans and Canadians. These soldiers put themselves in unthinkable danger on the Allies’ behalf during the war, often conducting risky night-time raids against highly strategic German targets. Modern American and Canadian special operations forces trace their heritage to this unit, which, as many records indicate, was never defeated in combat.

Goldline, one of the nation’s largest retailers of gold and silver bullion, is committed to those who are currently serving, or have served, our country in uniform. The company is honored to be the exclusive retailer of the First Special Service Force Silver Bullion Coin in recognition of the FSSF’s invaluable sacrifice.

“During World War II, these fearless fighters made the kind of sacrifice and demonstrated the kind of valor that few of us could ever even fathom,” said Brian Crumbaker, CEO of Goldline. “We’re delighted to see the surviving members of this group presented with a well-deserved Congressional Gold Medal, and, in the spirit of our commitment to all of the men and women of the armed services, we’re honored to join in recognizing the FSSF with a ¾ ounce silver proof First Special Service Force Coin.”
